Is Bone Broth The Same As Stock?

In essence, bone broth and stock are the same or rather similar. However, there are slight differences that you will notice between the two. For instance, the simmering period for bone broth is anywhere between 24 and 48 hours while simmering for stock is just a couple of hours (2-6 hours). Bones from beef, fish, and poultry are simmered together with vegetables and aromatics with the sole intention or goal of extracting as many nutrients, flavor, and collagen as possible. We must say that the slight difference between bone broth and stock is in the time it takes to cook. Bone broth is cooked for a prolonged period of time for the sole purpose of extracting as many nutrients as possible. Other than this, the two are quite similar.
